01 Information We Collect
YUMERA Billing operates primarily as an offline-first local software application. We collect minimal information strictly required to verify software licenses and provide essential customer support:
- Business Profile Data: Business Name, GSTIN (optional), Business Address, and Phone Number entered during initial setup.
- Account Credentials: Email address and encrypted authentication tokens when signing in or activating premium licenses.
- Technical Device Metadata: Operating system version, app build version, device identifier, and error crash logs for debugging purposes.
02 How We Use Your Data
Your data is utilized solely for legitimate operational and compliance purposes:
- Generating and formatting compliant GST tax invoices, credit notes, and CA-ready GSTR reports directly on your local device.
- Authenticating software licenses and providing priority technical support via email or remote assistance.
- Improving software performance, bug prevention, and delivering critical security updates.
YUMERA Billing stores all your customer ledgers, daily sales records, purchase histories, and item prices in a local SQLite database on your computer or mobile device. YUMERA Technologies never uploads, sells, or monetizes your financial ledgers.
03 Device Permissions Used
To deliver seamless billing functionality, YUMERA Billing requests specific hardware permissions on your device:
- Camera Permission: Required exclusively for instant barcode and QR code item scanning during checkout.
- Storage Permission: Needed to save high-resolution PDF invoices, export Excel/CSV financial ledgers, and store local automated database backups.
- Internet / Network Access: Utilized for license verification, fetching optional cloud backup sync updates, and sending error diagnostics.
04 Cookies and Storage
On our web portal (https://getyumera.com), we use essential session cookies and local browser storage to keep you logged in, save interface preferences, and analyze anonymized website traffic to optimize load speeds.
05 Third-Party Services
We partner with trustworthy third-party infrastructure providers that maintain strict compliance standards:
- Payment Gateways (Razorpay / UPI): Handles subscription payments with bank-grade PCI-DSS compliance. We never store credit card or banking PINs.
- Cloud Infrastructure (Google Cloud): Hosts user authentication and encrypted backup servers when cloud sync is explicitly enabled by the user.
06 Future Cloud Services
When upcoming cloud synchronization features are activated by choice, your local database backup files will be transmitted using end-to-end TLS 1.3 encryption and stored in secure, redundant cloud data centers located in India.
07 User Rights & Contact
You maintain full control over your business records. You can export, back up, or permanently delete your local database at any time from the app settings menu.
